"My history is a varied and fascinating one - from my teenage years and the son of a well known and respected antiques dealer I have an extensive knowledge of 20th century design. As a father & son team, we used to trade from an antiques shop based in Manchester and regularly sold at many antiques fairs.
Studying extensively in Manchester in the late 1970s and 1980s, I graduated from University in engineering design. I was previously employed by leading race and sports car manufacturers where I held long standing and successful careers as a senior principal designer. It is here that I also learnt to really understand and respect metal.
With a background for good design, I nurtured my other passion which was historical design focusing on the Arts & Crafts movement and over the years have built up a strong knowledge and love of design from 1860 to the present day. Combining this knowledge and passion for good design drove me to source, sell and collect leading quality and designed objects from this fascinating period through The Two Arthurs.
